Two bills in Congress could strip wolves of Endangered Species Act protections and open the door to unsustainable hunting and trapping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bill from Senator Tammy Baldwin<\/a> (D-WI) would strip wolves in Wisconsin and other Great Lakes states of protections and could lead to another gruesome hunt like the 2021 hunt<\/a> that led to more than 200 wolves being slaughtered in just days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) put forth legislation that would reinstate a Trump-era policy<\/a> which would kick wolves off of the endangered species list from coast-to-coast and allow states to set hunting and trapping seasons.
