George has nearly a decade of organizing experience and has worked closely with many communities across the Southern Appalachian Mountains to mobilize, train, and facilitate organizing work. He has deep ties to the Piedmont and mountains of North Carolina and a passion for wildlife including the hellbender salamander and the red wolf. He also currently serves on Boone, North Carolina&#8217;s Town Council as the Mayor Pro-Tempore, which he was elected to in 2023.
