The U.S. Senate recently voted to confirm Doug Burgum as the next Secretary of the Department of the Interior. Governor Burgum\u2019s track record in North Dakota has demonstrated a clear allegiance to the fossil fuel industry at the expense of environmental protection. His policies have consistently undermined climate progress, promoted unchecked oil and gas expansion, and ignored the need for meaningful conservation efforts. Entrusting him with the stewardship of our endangered and threatened species and public lands poses a serious threat to these species and places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
